LOUIS SCLAVIS

Born in Lyon in 1953 - clarinettist, saxophonist and composer.

Louis Sclavis asserted himself since almost fifteen years as one of the most creative musician of the jazz european scene.

Audacious leader, he always defended improvisation and helped anybody's ready to devote onself to it.

The unpredictable Louis Sclavis who, from Rameau to Duke Ellington, passing by Napoli's walls, carrying his clarinett, roves on many musical territories and constantly renewed, crossing many musicians' path because for him, the meeting is an essential dimension to the organic blooming of his music.

In love with a freedom which allows him to improve his mind, in sans oublier les trouvailles inédites et les explorations audacieuses.

Unbounded musician, Louis Sclavis never loses the integrity of his musical conception, according to his compositions which melt his hypothetical influences in a beautiful and daring general effect.
